Utiliser Notify-Osd (le système de notification d’Ubuntu) dans Fedora

Dans ce billet je vais vous montrer rapidement comment utiliser Notify-osd (le système de notification par défaut d’Ubuntu) dans Fedora.

Installation :
Commencez par Télécharger le RPM :
wget http://gljohn.fedorapeople.org/notify-osd/notify-osd-0.9.20-1.i586.rpm
su -c 'rpm -ivh notify-osd-0.9.20-1.i586.rpm'
Configuration :
Faites un backup au cas où
cp /usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.freedesktop.Notifications.service /usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.freedesktop.Notifications.service.bck
Editer le ficher Notifications.service
vim /usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.freedesktop.Notifications.service
Remplacer
Exec=/usr/libexec/notification-daemon
Par :
Exec=/usr/libexec/notify-osd
Test :
Redémarrer serveur X, et faites un test avec
notify-send "The Inalgnu blog's ?! it's really cool ;-)"
